Travelling between Skelmersdale and Liverpool is now even easier with a combined bus and rail ticket. The new Train Link ticket covers travel on the 319 Stagecoach bus service between Skelmersdale and Headbolt Lane train station, and train travel between Headbolt Lane and Liverpool city centre train stations.
The 319 Stagecoach bus will stop at Merseyrail’s Headbolt Lane station. Tickets purchased on the bus will be issued on paper. Please retain your ticket for showing during ticket inspections and to staff at the city centre station gates.
Ticket Types
The Skelmersdale Train Link is available in the following ticket types:
- Anytime Single – Valid for a single journey any time of day between Skelmersdale and Liverpool city centre stations (Moorfields and Liverpool Central).
- Anytime Return - Valid for a return journey any time of day between Skelmersdale and Liverpool city centre stations (Moorfields and Liverpool Central).
- Off-peak Day Saver – Valid for off-peak travel between Skelmersdale and Merseyrail Area C stations (please see the map further down the page). Off-peak tickets can be used anytime except between 06:31 – 09:29 Monday to Friday. Off-peak tickets can be used anytime on Bank Holidays.
