Merseyrail operates a reliable network, but sometimes engineering work needs to take place to make improvements. These works can take place at various locations and can mean replacement buses are provided instead.
Due to buses being unable to access certain roads in Liverpool city centre, rail replacement buses will no longer stop at Liverpool Central or Liverpool Lime Street. They will be stopping at Moorfields and James Street only (depending on which services are affected) to minimise disruption to Merseyrail services.

Sunday 14 July
West Kirby line until (12:00)
Rail replacement buses will run between:
- West Kirby to Hoylake
Monday 19 to Friday 23 August
Southport line
Rail replacement buses will run between:
- Hall Road and Formby
- Express buses will run between Southport and Hall Road from approximately 06:30 to 09:00 and 16:00 to 18:30.
