We want to ensure your journey with us is as safe as possible.

We employ over 1200 people providing almost 800 local train services across Merseyside every day.

Everyone travelling on the Merseyrail network is expected to pay the correct fare for their journey and be respectful of other passengers and members of staff. The vast majority of our passengers do just that.

Merseytravel is the executive body that provides professional, strategic and operational transport advice to the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to support it in making informed decisions. It is also the delivery arm making transport happen.

Merseyrail is a safe network, both for passengers and staff, with British Transport Police statistics revealing that notifiable crimes have more than halved since the start of the concession in 2003.
